Session Description:
The goal of this session is to support educator incorporation of literacy into multiple content areas by providing techniques to build quick and effective lessons or activities for all grade levels. In this session, the emphasis will be placed on creating lessons and activities that utilize interdisciplinary aspects and increase the literacy of students to deepen understanding in multiple ways. By the end of the session, teachers should have at least one lesson plan or activity, if not more, to immediately implement in the classroom. With this session, teachers will not only increase their comfort with building successful lessons or modifying previous plans but will become more aware of the use and importance of literacy in their content and beyond.
